God Is Contradictory?
It is a very very famous saying that the scripture contradicts itself and this is famous among some Christians. Now take a break for a minute. To say the scripture contradicts itself is to say God Himself is contradictory. Maybe you don’t know what contradict is, this is what it is: to deny, to be inconsistent. So, to say scriptures are contradictory is to say God is inconsistent with His own words.

When you say someone is inconsistent this is what it means. A person who does not stay the same and we know that God stays the same based on what the scriptures have revealed to us — He is the same yesterday, today, and forever [Hebrews 13:8]. A person who does not behave the same way every time in similar or different situations does that sound like The God of the Bible to you? Let’s get on with it… When we say someone is inconsistent, what we mean is that person is a liar. Are you getting it now?
Police Officers generally associate contradictions and omissions with deception and repetitions and reminiscences with truthfulness.

What we can realize from all of the Bible, both Torah and the New Contract/Testament is that God is the same yesterday, today and forever. He does not change and He is His Word.
So we have pacifists. These are people who say God will not send anybody to hell because if He does that He does not have love. Or God would not condemn anyone to eternal torment because He is love. Now, who is a pacifist? People who believe violence is unreasonable. They are people who oppose war and violence. Beautiful isn’t it? They’re the same ones who believe if one is loving He cannot hate.
Alright, so why would God take anybody to hell? Is the answer not that simple? Because He is a just God. Analyze this analogy. You have had your only child murdered and you get to court and the judge says, “because I have so much love, I forgive him and let him walk free.” WHAT WOULD YOU DO? I’ll tell you — you’ll curse that judge and call him wicked and unjust!

If God is love, then, He must hate. If you love babies then you must hate abortion. If you love Jews then you must hate the Holocaust. If you love peace, you must hate violence. If you love freedom, you must hate slavery. Do you get it? You cannot say you love ‘blacks’ and want to be racist at the same time.
Alright, so how about eternal punishment? Okay, another analogy. Is it a big deal when you kill ants? No. But then it is a big deal to kill another person’s dog. Do you know what’s a bigger deal? To lift your hand on your mother to strike her. There would be a family meeting! You might be disowned. Now here’s a big big deal, when you kill another human being, you’re tried in court by mortal men, then to a mortal prison with a limited time (likelihood of getting out is very low) if that is the case, how can you sin against an immortal God and still not get the eternal punishment deserved? He is not mortal like a man to sentence the culprit to a limited number. He is eternal!
Are the scriptures contradictory? I can go on and on but let me end it here. The scriptures are not. The moment you think the scriptures are contradictory, inconsistent, or opposing, please seek deeper to find what it means in its historical biblical context. Scripture is taken out of context only causes harm.
He is the same yesterday, today and shall be who He is forever. Amen!
